Reunion!!

Hi Everyone, Well the big reunion between Julia and Leah Hope occurred on Friday night! Julia was so excited all day long and kept saying, "Leah will be here at 5:00 today." When Leah first arrived, both of them were quiet and just checked each other out. A couple of minutes later they were off playing like they had been together every day! God is so good and has provided both of these girls with one another. We hope to get together with Leah's family often so they will have that strong bond. After Leah and her family left, we took Julia and Lydia to a minor league hockey game here in town. It was so fun; Julia would stand in the aisle dancing when the music played. She also cheered for the home hockey team; I think we have a Texas cheerleader in the making! Tonight was wonderful. We went to mass at 5:00 and were given the pleasure of introducing Julia to everyone. For those of you who may not know, our parish donated all the funds for Julia's adoption. It was so special to introduce her to the people that gave so willingly to bring her home. Thank you St. Jude and Fr. Tim!! I think Julia felt everyone's love; she was so good and even tried singing a couple of the hymns. We are looking forward to celebrating Christmas with my family. My parents are driving from east Tennessee to Texas to be with us. I hope all of you have a merry Christmas and I will be updating as much as I can through the Christmas holidays. May God bless you and keep you. Until next post.....................Michelle,Mark,Lydia, and Julia P.S. We will post the reunion pictures tomorrow!

  1. What a wonderful experience for the girls...I am so glad that you live so close and will be able to keep them in touch. They are blessed to have eachother. And I can't WAIT to see photos... I bet NewDay would appreciate seeing them, too!

I also think it's wonderful that you were finally able to introduce Julia at church. What a special moment to be able to introduce her to the very people who blessed your family with the funds to make her adoption possible. May God richly bless each and every one of them! That story just touches my heart!! <><

Have a Merry Christmas and God bless!

    Love, Tanya

  2. What a precious reunion!!! I wish I could have been a fly on the wall for that one! :) I didn't realize your parish donated the funds for Julia's adoption...what a WONDERFUL church family you have! I'd love to see our church home be able to do something like that one day! Oh! The joy they must have all felt as they finally met Julia...and I can only imagine the mix of emotions raging in your heart as you showed her off at mass! I don't know what it is, but something about Julia's adoption...especially at this time of year...just captures the TRUE spirit of Christmas so well for me! Your blog entries are shouting out over all the gifts under the tree! :)

  6. Oh what a blessing indeed! I am still astounded and tearful when I think of what your church has done to bring this precious child of God home to her forever family. As my Lottie says, "All the angels in heaven are dancing!" Have a very Merry Christ-filled Christmas with your sweet family.
